The Opportunity

Investing is an important goal for many. So is the practice of the Catholic faith. But, both at the same time, can feel impossible. You might think it takes too much time, fails to produce wealth, or compromises Catholic teaching. This is where the Sanctify app comes into play.

IWP Capital LLC, a leading capital advisory firm for investment research and screening rooted in Catholic values, has launched a revolutionary app called Sanctify. The Sanctify app is a digital tool that helps new and seasoned investors make well-informed decisions to create a financial portfolio in line with Catholic values.

If the right audience is presented with an app that can combine investing with practicing their Catholic faith, then it’s very likely they will investigate. Our hook must simply be “Smart investing according to Catholic teaching.” 

The Strategy

When we conducted in-depth interviews with members of the target audience, 100% of the interviewees downloaded the app during the interview. Presenting the combination of “Catholic” and “Investing App” to the right audience is all it takes!

Therefore, our strategy was to use social media to build a loyal fan base of tech-savvy DIY investor Catholics who wish to invest according to Catholic teaching, follow Sanctify on social channels, and sign up for the Sanctify app waiting list.

The target audience included U.S. Catholics aged 18 to 49 who are DIY investors, Catholic dads, and young professionals. They want the ease of identifying companies in good standing with Catholic teaching, the peace of mind of wise investing, and all without siphoning too much time away from their primary responsibilities.

The Results and the Insights

Our quarterly objectives were to hit 500,000+ impressions and 50,000 video views, goals that we overwhelmingly surpassed! We also spring-boarded the Sanctify blog and bolstered the app’s SEO rank for Catholic finance and investing terms. Furthermore, we successfully set up the Sanctify app for a long-term organic run. We crafted a clear value proposition — invest according to Catholic teaching without sacrificing either — that will continue to spur growth for the app.

The way forward is outreach and partnerships with influencers who will put forward the value proposition and create hype and buzz around the app. Engaging content, especially video content, about investing the “Catholic” way will continue to see results.

Conclusion

By targeting the right audience on social with the Sanctify app’s uniqueness as an investment app, we tapped into Catholics’ desire to invest in a way that produces wealth without sacrificing Catholic teaching and vice versa.
