Openlight Media

YLD does a makeover and revamps Openlight Media's social media presence to increase brand awareness and engagement.

Openlight Media, established by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, is dedicated to disseminating the teachings of the Catholic Church through contemporary media channels. Their mission extends the preaching and teaching charism of the Dominican order into modern forms, particularly in print and digital media.

OLM’s Objectives:

  • OLM provides accessible and trustworthy resources to assist Catholic educators, young families, and individuals
  • Through their “Education in Virtue” program, OLM offers materials aiming to cultivate virtue as a pathway to a fulfilling life
  • OLM seeks to effectively communicate the Catholic faith in ways that resonate with contemporary audiences

YLD’s Objective

Openlight Media came to Yellow Line Digital to help increase brand awareness and to revamp their branding and messaging on social media platforms. Previously, they had inconsistent messaging, design, and content production; however, we were able to redevelop and design consistent and engaging branding as well as expanding their reach with new and integrated media and communication media platforms.

The Redesign

YLD took a deep dive into their current platforms and strategized the best tactics to increase brand awareness and recognition, making OLM’s Education in Virtue platform more recognizable and memorable. At first glance “Education in Virtue” and “Openlight Media” appear as two separate entities, when they are actually connected to each other. Not only did we redesign and amplify their graphics on their Pinterest and Youtube Page, but we also renamed Pinterest boards that were more targeted towards educators and specific to their brand.

Facebook Group

Some additional resources we developed for them are a Facebook Teacher’s Lounge, which started at 88 members and now is at 583. In addition, we set up a Teachers Pay Teachers page to help promote and share their work with other educators.

Conclusion

YLD is honored to work with OpenLight Media to promote their Christ-centered educational materials. With their improved Pinterest, Youtube, and Facebook presence, Openlight Media continues to bring the teachings of the Catholic Church to contemporary media channels, making it easier for educators, students, and families to incorporate virtue into their everyday lives.
